Who we are
Katie Watt
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with a Master of Counselling from the University of Canberra and Level 2 membership with the Australian Counselling Association. Alongside my clinical training, I bring over ten years of experience supporting young people and families in school environments, as well as the lived experience of raising a family. These perspectives ground my practice in practicality, patience, and deep empathy for the complexities of everyday life.
My work integrates evidence-based practices - including person-centred therapy, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic practices - offering a holistic and supportive space to explore challenges and cultivate meaningful change. With warmth, curiosity, and a steady presence, I meet clients where they are and support them in moving toward balance, clarity, and emotional resilience.
I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing addiction and recovery, those who identify as neurodivergent, women navigating midlife and menopause transitions, and children developing emotional understanding and confidence.
At the heart of my practice is a belief in walking alongside clients, honouring their unique story, and working together to create a life that feels grounded, empowered, and aligned with their values.
Matthew Watt
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with a Master of Counselling from the University of Canberra and I also hold a Master of Marketing from Macquarie University. With experience working in emergency services and the military, I bring a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges faced by first responders, military personnel, and men navigating complex roles and identities.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in ACT, existential concepts, person-centred practice, and CBT. I support clients in gaining clarity, building psychological flexibility, and developing practical skills to face challenges with confidence and purpose. My style is professional, direct and strengths-based. I am focused on empowering clients to reconnect with their values, expand resilience, and move forward with integrity.
I am particularly passionate about men’s mental health and the unique pressures that arise from service-based and high-responsibility careers. I provide a confidential, non-judgmental space for men to explore identity, trauma, performance expectations, and the personal cost of holding space for others, helping them rediscover balance, strength, and meaning both in and out of uniform.
